The Future is Bright
It's been a while since I've written here. While it's the same thing every time I say I will keep writing and writing, I have been in a slump for a while now. I am not giving up. In fact, due to current events, I am determined as ever to keep going with my career.
No matter where it takes me, the UK is my home and I will not go back to a place where I do not feel happy. Every moment I spend In my home country I feel anxiety and loneliness. Here, I feel confident and full of pride for who I truly am. I refuse to have that taken away from me.
After struggling to write the gay romance, The Boxing Letters, I decided that I will go back to the genre I am best at: fantasy. Starting with the first real book that I technically finished but am expanding upon The Kelwyn Bloodline.
I am thinking of possibility posting The Boxing Letters as a pay to read blog on this site every month or so, and keep comments active so I can receive feedback, but it will no longer be a priority for me. It will be the lowest that is allowed.
In the meantime, I am searching for anything that I qualify for that will allow me to work and stay in the UK on a work visa so I can start earning my way to a British citizenship. While waiting for something permanent, I will also be doing freelance writing and voiceover work. If I cannot find anything by this time next year I will be looking in London. There are so many networks in my area that I am beyond grateful.
