Zehikari’s Task
'Shiconen?’ That voice. How could he be here? Shiconen turned around to find his baby half-brother looking at him with a kind smile. Was he trying to make him angry?
‘What are you doing here? I thought I made it clear I didn’t want you here. You are not a Celesney, and you did enough damage years ago when you had a child with the princess of Zeká-ekáro. You have caused me enough problems,’ he grumbled. He had enough of his brother’s bloodline.
Zehikari’s face fell. It was clear that he was still not over the death of his wife. Good riddance. He was too happy and mischievous for his own good. ‘But I am now, brother. The other side of me died when my mother did. She did not become like our father, but I am one. Can you not feel it?’
Shiconen glared but opened his awareness. He did feel like a full God, but he would never be a true-blooded Celesney. ‘So you are, what do you want then? I’m busy trying to juggle several worlds. This one in particular is rather irritating. There is no magic born here, but the beings here have the ability to create other worlds with their imaginations. If they would just stop trying to kill each other, maybe the worlds they create would stay alive.’
Zehikari tilted his head curiously. ‘Well, Father thinks that it is a good idea for us to get along better. He and your mother know you are working hard in this universe, so they thought that maybe my first task as a true Celesney can be to help you.’ True Celesney, it angered Shiconen to no end hearing his whiny voice say those words. He was nothing. Just like the gods that these humans create.
Wait, that was it. It caused him so much misery trying to deal with the Olympians and their worshipper's endless wars. Not to mention the gods created in other civilizations like the Egyptians. There were just too many. Perhaps his little brother could be of use to him after all.
‘Fine, I can put you in charge of this world. It is special as the stories they create become worlds of their own. This means other gods are also created by their tales. I have yet to designate a world just for them to inhabit, and I honestly do not have the time to deal with them. I will put you in charge. I will grant you the power over this world, called Moranko, and the ability to create a world where the gods created can live together. You can decide how they will. Actually, I will give you a gift as a token of my thanks for this task. You can be in charge of reincarnation. You can even bring back that woman you fell in love with all those years ago, and have your daughter reborn. Just know, that if Kalebeko finds her again, the curse will remain. Every time he has a child with her, your daughter will die,’ he said with a glare.
Shiconen hated when he could not be in charge, but what harm did it do for him to let his little brother be happy once in a while?
